09-10 Mite house format

It was voted on and approved at the June board meeting to change the format of the Mite house league this season.
The league will keep the current format of 1 practice and 1 game per week. However, in order to deemphasize winning, during the regular season no score will be kept for Mite house league games. The board feels that more emphasis must be placed on skill development, as opposed to winning. As in previous seasons, an end of the season championship tournament will be played in Mite house league where scores will be kept and winners will be determined.
Mini-Mites will keep the same format as it has in the past seasons where they will play cross ice. All players 6 and under must play in the mini-mite league, unless they participate in the 8u house evaluations and their scores are comparable to the rest of the league’s players.
